You’re welcome and thank you for sharing your story, Claire. Honestly, I feel the people who were douchenozzles to me in the beginning and not understanding of my situation at all respect me more than ever now. Because there’s something about setting boundaries with these fuckers and being confident in yourself and your situation that can change things for the better. (I’m not implying you’re not confident, btw.) I realized I was just getting shit on, and as soon as I had the strength to cut these fuckers off mid-sentence and diplomatically tell them to fuck off, while displaying superiority through clever use of my intellect (no matter how fucked up my life appeared to them), I did so, and I found it to be both gratifying and very effective. Just because bad shit happens to us in life, doesn’t mean we have to be a punching bag for people in the mist of it all. You’re doing just fine. Keep moving forward (not that you need my approval, ha).
