While this a good, positive message, the obvious truth is that some people are better than you. It's a fact of life. They may be more talented, more evolved, and kinder, for example, all in one, than you. Are they a better person though? That's a more vague question that I think can be hard to answer. But I like your rationale here. It's probably a much healthier way to think.
