We know why the US supporting Ukraine is just, and what it means for US national security and world democracy. You and Chris have discussed this. But Ukraine may need sustained military and civil aid for years to come. Realistically, the US and its partners need to look beyond the battlefield, IMO. There will be great costs if this war continues on for years. I don't know if a peace deal is even possible, or what that would look like, but it needs to happen at some point, IMO.
