This made me angry on your behalf. What a bitch, seriously. I had a boss like that when I was 25 and a supervisor at a small investigative firm. He would try to stroke my ego and then gaslight me like crazy. My workload was unmanageable. I ended up quitting, but had stayed a little too long.

Weirdly, at age 48, I have recurrent dreams about him in which we are arguing or fighting. In real life, we never disagreed, but my rage beneath the surface was boiling during most interactions with him. Maybe I need therapy for this. Ha.
