Thank you, RC. There are more eyes on it now than ever before. But comparatively speaking, funding is still pretty low. Several European countries are studying it, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
US Congress had allocated $1 billion toward the study of long COVID, which has a lot of similarities to ME/CFS (they’re now believed to be sister diseases — post-viral illness), but I heard they squandered most of the money.
It seems to be very complex and is confounding to a lot of experts, as well. I don’t follow the science of it too closely, but I did happen to come across a few promising studies in recent months, as there’s a big community of people with it on Twitter who share stuff, etc.
