My mother is a lock for the ‘Mother of the Year’ award. Two months of absolute chronic illness hell in which I thought for sure I wouldn’t make it and she was there for me the whole time — bringing me home-cooked meals, sleeping over for days, sitting with me by my bedside, handling my medical phone appointments, contacting my doctors, praying for me, responding to my panicked texts, telling me she’d trade places with me in a second if it meant I could have my life back. There is no love greater than a mother’s love.
It’s a very interesting choice by the State of Massachusetts to be housing in mid-June 140 migrant families, a total of 450 people, in our rural town where the movie “Ted 2” was filmed, with its small population and little infrastructure, at a former correctional facility in the middle of nowhere that’s two miles with no sidewalks on the roads from the center of town with basically only a Walgreens and a Dunkin’ … and the migrants don’t own cars.

I didn’t until the other day. While searching everywhere in the kitchen and pantry for some dark chocolate, which temporarily helps slightly with my fatigue as it acts as a little stimulant, I became very frustrated when finding none…
