Since it’s common to use PhD or MBA, for example, in a professional context, I see no reason why the same should not apply to Medium, if one is perhaps looking to attract readers based on status or expertise. We live in a society where selling yourself is important if you want to get ahead. In everyday life, of course, it might be in poor taste to throw out the initials, but here on Medium, I think it’s a rather smart idea.
