You can tell a lot about a person by how they dance at a wedding. Are you the type of person with the same dance moves, or do you mix it up and incorporate various dancing styles?
This morning, I had a few German butter cookies my in-laws sent with my decaf German coffee. They have a “nutrition score” of E (some German food products have a nutrition score, but not all are required to have one), but they’re addictingly good.
I’d argue that they’re actually healthy for me because I feel a sense of immense joy when eating them, which activates the feel-good hormones oxytocin and dopamine that we all know are good for your health.
When I worked as a supervisor at a small investigative firm, I’d often have to back up my boss in meetings and say some words at the end to reinforce what he had just talked about. One of the terms he often used was “gorilla surveillance,” which basically meant to take a lazy, unorganized approach to any cases that involved surveillance.
I don’t know if he made the term up or not, but I liken it to how my ME/CFS doctor practices his job: through “gorilla medicine,” which apparently is just trying things in…
