It is. There are some really wonderful parts of Brooklyn, as you describe. But there are a few dangerous, poverty-stricken parts, as well. Brooklyn is a big borough. We lived in a nice, trendy, Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn for a summer. Loved it so much.
