MEDIUM SCANDAL
Is Medium Full of Crybabies?
A question of importance
The answer is no. Medium is not full of crybabies. Some of us might act like actual babies in real life, but we’re not crybabies regarding this platform and our concern and dismay over the significant reduction in earnings.
We’re all creative artists in our own way. Society has historically viewed creative writing as an unpaid pursuit, unless, of course, you happen to be a famous author, writer, or blogger.
But then one day, Medium, a platform predominately full of writers (and some readers), came along and offered its Partner Program. And suddenly, writers were getting paid for their work, even earning enough money per month to buy a Starbucks or Dunkin’ coffee and breakfast sandwich.
Now, with the current state of things and the financial disaster that has befallen the writers of this community, people’s monthly earnings have been reduced to the point that they can only afford to buy a $1 scratch ticket and hope for the best.
This is unacceptable from the behemoth of all writing platforms on the Internet that is Medium.
Here is my recent response to CEO Tony, who commented on TzeLin Sam’s post about the current state of Medium:
