I was skinny growing up (I’m not now because I gained a TON of weight from a medication I take) and would get those same comments. And my wife is part of the pale club, and she would get comments about that, too. She would always say that in the Victorian age, being pale was a symbol of high status. That’s what she thinks of herself as. Ha. I guess it’s a good way to make light of people being rude and ignorant by making such comments!
