I can see this happening in a relationship, when one of the partners is perhaps stressed, joyless, and maybe doing things they don't want to be doing. That person gets envious of the partner who is deriving joy from a creative hobby such as writing, because they don't have that in their own lives. It's a tough one. Sounds like a problem for a counselor or therapist.
