I always think of Midwesterners as real-life John Hughes characters. I know a woman from Indiana, about 30 minutes outside of Chicago, who is the nicest person ever. We Bostonians might be the biggest assholes in the country, though. When I lived in NY, I thought the people there were nicer than people from Boston. Although, nobody in NY is ever really from there.
