A letter to your late mother might be just the right thing for you. That way you can pour your heart out onto the page as if she were going to read it. It may be extremely cathartic, too. Of course, you have to write what feels most authentic, whether it be an essay, a letter, or a fiction piece based on your mother. Sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences.
